I never dreamed I would care about a fashion model's story, but I was. This is a sad, strong and hopeful book. I know I will remember CoCo for a long time. The strength of this young woman, and resilience too. It is beautifully written, and I am looking forward to more offerings from this author.
This book came as a recommendation from a friend. Couldn't put it down! Never thought a storyline about a fashionista teenager would be anything if interest, I was wrong. I loved it! Every detail of the book I could envision. Each character I felt real emotions towards. This truly was a cover to cover read. I look forward to reading more from EE Orme... I'm also buying a copy for a friend!

This book kept me engaged and more importantly caring for the main character Coco. I wanted only the best for her from the very beginning and it pained me when her life took different/difficult pathways as she worked through her confused and messed up life. The ending of the book rang true to life, that there is always hope, even for Coco. There is strong language, explicit imagery and very complex life issues so I don’t recommend this for a younger audience.
Wow, this book caught me by surprise! I had ordered it at my wife's request and after seeing it sitting on the table each time I walked by I decided to pick it up. Right away the pages kept turning as I was drawn in with a sense of mystery of who these characters were. I'll admit at one point it suddenly dawned on me I might be reading a romance novel, but hey I'll own it, at this point I was too drawn in. I felt I was right there as Coco lived through the hurt of abandonment and began her journey of learning who she was through failure, success, and love. I found the fashion world to be interesting and as I was turning the last page I wondered what might be next for Coco.
The characters come alive through their complex histories. The women overcome terrible exploitation to become whole and accomplished in love and career. I enjoyed the multiethnic international settings and the world of super models as fashion.
